I'm Suzanne, a certified doula, and childbirth + waterbirth educator with additional certifications in physiological birth education. I absolutely love birth, babies and believing God! My heart is to serve and provide the utmost loving support and encouragement, grounded in biblical principles, for women as they welcome their babies. This dream and passion grew steadily in my heart through my own four birth experiences, and through seeing a need of service for believing women to receive birth education and support centered on God and His Word.

 

My four birth experiences deeply impacted me, as birth often does for women. I had three big baby boys in the hospital with a CNM, all unmedicated and precipitous (very fast). I experienced a very significant tear with my first birth due to the pushing position I was directed into. Instead of becoming fearful of birth, I immersed myself in learning more about natural birth, filling my heart with confidence in the process and preparing differently for my subsequent births. Thankfully, I never tore again. I became known in the hospital as the woman who birthed on hands and knees on the floor, and with my most recent birth, I experienced a home waterbirth where my baby was born completely "en caul," still inside an intact amniotic sac. The greatest impact of my births has been an overflowing awe at the beautiful way God designed women’s bodies with the innate ability and strength to grow, birth and nurture babies.
