motherhood journey

for Pregnancy

Pregnancy Support Wedge

My favorite belly-support for sleeping or laying down! It's perfect for tucking under your pregnant belly when side-lying, especially in the third trimester and those last days of pregnancy. Pair with regular pillows between your legs, from thighs to ankles, for needed pelvic support. I love that it gives the right amount of support without needing a giant s-shape pregnancy pillow!

NORA Nourish Organic Pregnancy Tea

NORA, standing for the herbs Nettles, Oatstraw, Red Raspberry Leaf and Alfalfa is a wonderful herbal blend for pregnancy, and in preparation for birth! This can be enjoyed anytime after 16 weeks of pregnancy. The benefits abound, as it is a nutrient-rich blend designed to nourish and support your body as it grows your baby and prepares for birth. I highly recommend it!

BABYGO Birthing Ball for Pregnancy and Labor

One of my favorite pregnancy and labor tools! Using a birthing ball can encourage the body into a neutral pelvic position, providing alignment and space for baby within the pelvis. It's a great tool for easy, comfortable movement, rocking, stretching, or simply sitting. It's one of those essentials I found myself using ALL the time - even rolling it up to the kitchen table to sit on during meals! Using it throughout pregnancy also helps make it feel second nature when it’s time to use it during labor.

Kindred Bravely Maternity Compression Socks

If you struggle with varicose veins or swelling during pregnancy, these are beyond essential for your comfort. At 20 - 30 mmHg, they provide moderate-to-firm medical-grade level compression which provides great relief from pressure and swelling in the legs. I love their cushioned sole and the quality of the fabric. I have 4 pairs of these socks and have gifted them to others!

for Birth

Mama Natural Wooden Labor Comb

A simple tool with BIG labor support! This cost-friendly birthing comb uses acupressure and sensory input to help shift your focus and distract your brain during intense contractions. Just squeeze it in your hand through those powerful surges!

Mexican Rebozo

Made from 100% cotton and beautifully woven in Mexico, this gorgeous rebozo lives in my doula bag and comes with me to every prenatal appointment and birth. A rebozo can be such a lovely, supportive tool throughout the whole childbearing journey. There are so many ways to incorporate it during pregnancy, birth preparation, labor, and postpartum, and may even be used for babywearing once your little one arrives! From gentle belly and hip support to movement, comfort, positioning, and those sweet postpartum baby snuggles, this is one of those simple, beautiful tools that can do so much.

for Postpartum

AfterEase

For those after-birth contractions, especially for mamas having their second, third or beyond baby. Those postpartum uterine cramps can feel surprisingly intense, uncomfortable, and often a bit stronger with each subsequent birth.

Earth Mama Herbal Perineal Spray

Once I tried this perineal spray I was addicted! It’s incredibly soothing for a tender, recovering bottom, and I love knowing I’m using ingredients that are gentle and nourishing on my body.

Earth Mama Organic Perineal Balm

Soothing, cooling, and oh-so-refreshing! Pair it with the spray and your postpartum self will thank you.

Earthley Wellness Postpartum Balance

Whenever I felt my body or emotions starting to ramp up, I’d reach for this. It helped take the edge off and made those early postpartum hormone swings feel more manageable. I still reach for mine years later when I need a little extra hormone support!

Rael Organic Cotton Pads XL Overnight

For those immediate, heavy postpartum days! These extra-long overnight pads are soft, absorbent, and perfect for those first days when postpartum bleeding is at its heaviest. I love that they’re made with organic cotton, as I prefer to be mindful of what I’m putting against my skin while that tender area is healing after birth.

Rael Organic Cotton Pads Large

Stock-up, mama! When the bleeding has slowed but hasn’t quite slowed enough, these are the perfect in-between pad to have on hand.

Rael Organic Cotton Pads Petite

For those “almost done” days when the bleeding is mostly done but you still want extra reassurance, these petite pads are my favorite go-to.

Naticura CoolComfort Witch Hazel Wipes

Skip the ones from the hospital and swap them with these soothing witch hazel wipes made with cleaner, organic ingredients. They keep things feeling fresh, clean, and cared for while you heal postpartum.

Medline Premium Perineal Cold Packs

If you’re planning a homebirth, these are wonderful to have ready to go. They’re also a lifesaver when you’ve had a tear and need some extra cooling, soothing comfort down below.

Traditional Medicinals Organic Nettle Leaf Tea

My Husband made me a warm cup of nettle leaf tea immediately after birth, and kept it refilled throughout my early weeks postpartum. I cannot fully express how immensely supportive nettle tea felt for me, especially since nettle is traditionally valued for its nourishing minerals, specifically iron, which supports healthy blood and red blood cell production.  This is SO important as your body replenishes after birth!

Herbal Postpartum Bath

Use this herbal mix for a healing postpartum sitz bath, either in a bath tub or using a sitz bath basin that fits directly on your toilet seat. I love this blend because its main scent is lavender which I find so refreshing and relaxing. The benefits are there including being therapeutic for mother/baby bonding, reducing perineal swelling, healing perineal lacerations, and helping with hemorrhoids. It's lovely.

for Breastfeeding

Silverette Nursing Cups

One of my absolute breastfeeding favorites! Made of 100% sterling silver, these nursing cups will be your best friend, as they were mine. With natural antimicrobial properties, they’re soothing and protective for tender, cracked nipples and can be worn between feeds to heal and keep that sensitive skin cared for. No more need for creams or lanolin, these are IT!!

Earthley Wellness Mama’s Magic Milk Boost

I love having this on hand during those times when I want a little extra support for my milk supply. It’s an easy addition to my daily routine and made with herbs traditionally used to support breastfeeding.

Elvie Catch Milk Collection Shells

These little milk collection cups are a postpartum MUST! Instead of letting that liquid gold go to waste, I loved having these on hand to catch the letdown on the opposite side while nursing. I've tried the Haakaa but I found it clunky, and awkward to hold. The Evie Shells can slip right into a regular nursing bra and will stay in place well.

Nursery Night Lamp

Keep your nighttime routine in check with this flip design touch lamp. This little lamp gives off the perfect soft, warm glow without being too bright, making middle-of-the-night nursing, diaper-changing, and snuggly moments so so so much easier. It's a must-have for me and often what I give to family and friends as a baby gift. You'll use it every single night and wonder how you lived without it!

Green Sprouts Organic Cotton Muslin Burp Cloths

This is one baby essential you'll want LOTS of for all those first-year spit-ups that come with baby life! I kept these within arm's reach everywhere around our home, in my diaper bag. and stroller... everywhere baby went!

Earth Mama Organic Milkmaid Tea

A warm cup of this tea became one of my favorite breastfeeding rituals. It’s comforting, supports milk supply, and is a great way to add extra hydration to your day while breastfeeding.

Momjug 50oz Water Bottle for Breastfeeding Moms

I LOVE love LOVE this GIANT insulated stainless steel water bottle!!! The optional breast indicator helps you remember which side you’re on for the next feeding... because postpartum brain is REAL! I could go on and on about all the things I love about it, but I’ll let you check it out for yourself. One little heads-up: it is BIG and doesn’t exactly travel well, so it’s definitely more of a "keep at home kind" of bottle, but that's great for postpartum rest and recovery, right!? Also, it’s AMAZING to have during labor to help you stay hydrated!

Kindred Bravely Nursing Sleep Bra

I lived in these super soft and stretchy nursing sleep bras! They were my favorite nursing bra, not only sleep in but to wear under t-shirts and pullovers. The pull aside access makes it quick and easy to get baby latched without having to fumble around with a hook latch. Size up, maybe even two sizes up, for comfort. These are worth the splurge!

for Motherhood

The BEST Collagen Protein Powder

I love this multi-collagen protein powder! The benefits are enormous, and I add it to my warm milk drink or tea almost every morning. It's a simple way to add protein to my morning routine to support steady blood sugar, which is especially helpful for women's hormones. Also a great way to get more of that essential protein during pregnancy!!

monica + andy Women's Organic Cotton Robe

The coziest organic cotton robe for slow postpartum mornings and long, cozy motherhood days! I’m partial to the grey color, and yes… I love it so much that I have TWO hanging in my bathroom that I still wear every single day. Make it extra special with personalized embroidery when you order directly from the monica + andy website.

Nursing Queen Cowl Neck Nursing Pullover

Nursing Queen is my absolute favorite company for nursing clothes (pullovers, sweatshirts, shirts, dresses, matching mom + baby, and more)! Most of their clothes, including this nursing pullover are made of 100% cotton and have a zipper access for breastfeeding, making nursing very discrete and easy when out and about. I size up in the pullovers for more room and comfort. I've built my own collection of Nursing Queen clothes over 4 babies and I still wear every item! Start your collection or add to yours today!

Nursing Queen Fleece Jacket Coat

Want to stay extra cozy through the fall and winter while still being able to nurse and/or pump discreetly? This is your answer! I lived in this during the many (and I mean MANY) cold months in Wisconsin when I was nursing my babies!
